Wellston board confirms multiple hires, including career-tech and science teachers

After returning from executive session, the board voted to approve a slate of personnel actions for the 2024–25 school year. On motions by Bradley Pittman and others, the board approved hiring Johnathan Gervasi as a career-tech business teacher, Sarah Brooke Crick as a secondary science teacher, and re-hiring Anna Marie Perdue as a school counselor. Each motion was seconded as recorded in the minutes and the votes were recorded as carried.
The personnel actions were taken under the authority cited for executive session (25 O.S. §307(B)(1)) and were announced in open session with an Executive Session Minutes Compliance statement. The board also approved other personnel items in the July meeting packet and earlier special meeting minutes (including appointments for extra-duty athletic positions recorded July 11).
