The board approved the requirement "with adjustments as discussed" on a motion by Mallory Ebers, seconded by Brock Terrell; the votes were recorded 4–1 with Tyler Barnes voting nay.
The policy sets deadlines for new hires to obtain a CDL permit within four months of hire (or before their season starts), provides current staff an extension until two weeks before their season start, offers a medical exception, and says the district will pay or reimburse certain CDL expenses and add one additional sick day for employees who attend the required course outside regular work hours. The board recorded the implementation motion and a roll-call vote in the minutes.
