After executive session, board approves multiple hires including reading specialist and business director
Summary
Following an executive session under Title 25 Oklahoma Statutes 307(B)(1), the Chouteau-Mazie Board approved a slate of hires: Teresa Herring (adjunct journalism), Rhonda Gilstrap (reading specialist/coach), Jared Spurgeon (lay football coach), a list of bus drivers, Meagan Ragsdale (school nurse), Kelly Grossman (Executive Director of Business Services, effective Sept. 1), and Megan Angeline (ECC Para Tier 1).
The board convened into executive session at 6:22 p.m. to discuss employment matters under Title 25 Oklahoma Statutes 307(B)(1) and reconvened at 7:52 p.m. President’s statement noted that no votes were taken during executive session and only agenda items were discussed.
After returning to open session the board approved several personnel appointments. Motions recorded in the minutes include: “Motion to approve Teresa Herring as adjunct teacher for Journalism for the 2025-26 SY” (moved by Tina Van Horn, seconded by Amber Rice) and “Motion to approve hiring Kelly Grossman as Executive Director of Business Services as of September 1, 2025” (moved by Lindsey Yoder, seconded by Charlie Coblentz). Each appointment passed with unanimous yes votes recorded in the minutes.
