Superintendent Josh Gwartney told the Chouteau-Mazie Board of Education on Aug. 6 that “all certified positions will be filled by the start of school.” He said the district is finalizing hires and preparing staff assignments ahead of the 2025–26 school year.
Gwartney also reported that Coach Phelan will be obtaining his certification for varsity archery and provided an update on renovations at the Mazie FFA building. Board members did not vote on the report; it was provided as part of the superintendent’s oral update at the start of the meeting.
