As part of the consent agenda the board approved multiple athletics travel requests for 2025:
- Newcastle High School fast‑pitch: Sept. 4–6, 2025, Tulsa Lincoln Christian Softball Tournament — 21 students, five chaperones, one bus and one suburban (request recorded in consent packet).
- Cross country: Oct. 3–4, 2025, Fayetteville, Arkansas — four coaches and 16 students with one bus to attend the Chili Pepper Festival Cross Country Meet (packet spelling "Fayetville" corrected to Fayetteville for clarity).
- Girls basketball: Dec. 17–23, 2025, Phoenix, Arizona — out‑of‑state travel for a national basketball tournament; packet notes the invitation came from national scouts and that the trip is expected to provide exposure for the team.
The consent agenda motion that included these travel authorizations passed (motion by Jeremy Gilbertson; second by Ron Lock). District staff are responsible for final trip logistics, chaperone ratios and any payroll or activity‑fund processing required.
