The board's resolution lists the General Fund property-tax request at $7,896,551, a Bond Fund request of $707,071 and a Special Building Fund request of $797,608; the resolution states a proposed tax rate of 0.750479 per $100 of assessed value.
Earlier in the meeting the board considered, and unanimously rejected, a separate motion to increase the district's property tax request authority. That motion, made by Justin Stark and seconded by Brianne Wilhelm, failed 0-6; minutes record members saying voting no reflected the board's responsibility to avoid seeking taxes that are not necessary. The formal approval of the budget (motion by Tyler Kreifels, seconded by Amy Wemhoff) carried 6-0. The minutes note the property-tax resolution was passed "per pending clarification with NDE on item number 5."
