Heartland FBLA students return from National Leadership Conference with top finishes

The board packet included “Huskie Happenings” noting that nine students and two sponsors attended the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim. The administration recognized the LifeSmarts team—Austin Schmidt (12) and Tara Buzek (10)—for earning overall first place in that competition and reported that Austin Schmidt finished fourth overall in the Business Law competition.
Trustees congratulated the students and their FBLA sponsors, and noted the trip was an opportunity for students to represent the district and to bring back competition experience. The board asked administration to post the students’ accomplishments in district communications and to include sponsor names in public recognition materials.
