Summary

Planning staff described ROWVAC25-001, a request by Raul Rodriguez to vacate E Street between Blocks B and C and portions of alleyways so the applicant can merge several parcels into one. Staff said the applicant owns the affected parcels, GIS indicates some structures may be located in the right-of-way, the right-of-ways are not improved to county road standards, and staff recommended approval with conditions that include compliance with NRS 278.480 and reservation of easements for utilities where applicable.
Bob Thibault of High Desert Engineering (representing the applicant) affirmed the staff summary and offered to answer questions. Commissioner (S5) moved to recommend approval to the Elko County Board of Commissioners and the motion passed by voice vote with no opposition.
