Chair opened nominations and, after Hillacre accepted, members voiced support; Undersheriff Justin Ames said, "I vouch for Brad." The motion carried on a voice vote and Hillacre will serve as vice chair until the board's next selection process or as defined by bylaws.
The board used the remainder of the meeting to thank staff and to discuss ongoing projects, including plans to obtain budgetary and final quotes from Motorola for a county‑hosted server solution.
