Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb briefed the Selectmen on several administrative items during the July 28 meeting. She said training costs in the current budget mean the town cannot pay for a budget committee member to take a class this year. She also reported that Lobster Festival preparations are progressing: the parade is large, a car show has been added and cornhole games will run Friday night.
Liscomb said she will sign paperwork to pursue a Rural Community Development Opportunity with HCPC. She also reported that newly installed floats do not have enough flotation and that M. Young will inspect them to determine if adjustments are possible. These were presented as informational updates; no motions were recorded.
