The Elko County Debt Management Commission voted by voice to retain Sharon Byram as chair and Travis Gerber as vice chair during its statutory February meeting on Feb. 2, 2026. Members voiced unanimous support after a member publicly expressed backing and another seconded the motion.
Commissioner Rhys Keener indicated his support during the discussion: "Madam chair, this is Reese Keener, and I'm happy, to have you continue, and also Travis in your respective positions if, you're so inclined." Scott Gavarski verbally seconded the motion. Chair Byram stated there were six members present, meeting the quorum requirement, and the commission recorded ayes with no opposition noted.
