The board authorized Secretary Malorie Ninemeier to sign Waiver and Consent forms for Cascade Charter Township, the City of Grand Rapids, the City of Kentwood and Grand Rapids Charter Township related to petitions to strike 2020 and prior delinquent personal property taxes. The minutes reference four filings (Ref. Nos. 26-03/09-A through 26-03/09-D) and include the waiver language used in the court documents.
The formal waivers state, in part, "NOW COMES Forest Hills Public Schools and acknowledges receipt of the 2020 and prior Delinquent Personal Property Tax Report ... and consents to the relief requested by the petitioner and voluntarily waives notice of the hearing and of the entry of judgment." Each waiver is dated March 9, 2026, and shows the board secretary's attestation in the minutes. The authorizations were recorded as part of the consent agenda.
