City announces schedule changes and starts planning for 7th Street NW reconstruction

Director of engineering Mark Duchaine said the city is beginning the planning process for reconstructing 7th Street NW from Central Avenue to Hewlett Avenue, tentatively targeting an early‑2030 timeframe. Duchaine said staff will host two pop‑up neighborhood engagement events and provide an online form on the city website for feedback to inform geometry and funding strategies.
