Bradford, Warner residents and fire chief push for signage, chevrons and turn lanes near Lake Massasecum

Brian Al, fire chief, Town of Bradford, told the panel that the 103/114 intersection and the S-turns near Day Pond produce numerous crashes, and suggested small, low-cost fixes such as chevrons, warning signs and flashing left-turn arrows to reduce crashes.
The chief highlighted skid marks and high travel speeds in the boat-launch area and said commercial traffic — from logging to fuel trucks — increases crash risk. “We've had numerous crashes at that intersection too,” he said, urging the study to include speed data and consider targeted signing or chevrons. Residents also raised parking and trailer maneuvering at the launch and asked the team to evaluate a turning lane to improve safety.
