The Lucas Fire Control Prevention and EMS District board set a special meeting for 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, to adopt a resolution approving the fiscal year 2024–25 budget.
Debbie Fisher moved to set the adoption date and the motion was seconded; the Chair called the vote and said the motion carries. Finance director Liz Eskom was identified as the staff contact who will present budget details at the special meeting. A participant stated, "The proposed budget is still the $6.22," referring to the sales tax figure associated with the proposed budget.
The board did not adopt the budget at this session; it scheduled the separate special meeting for formal adoption and further presentation by staff.
