The South Country Central School District board voted to establish its audit committee for the 2026–27 school year and announced the proposed membership.
"Last year's committee included Deb DeLillo, Cheryl Feliz, Anne Hayes, and Amanda Pond," the chair said when presenting the slate and asking trustees to confirm interest. Trustee DeLillo told the board, "I would like to remain on the audit committee." A motion to adopt the proposed slate was made and seconded; the chair announced the vote was unanimous.
The chair invited additional community members and trustees to express interest in committee service and said trustees would assign themselves to committees at the board's Aug. 12 meeting. The board did not discuss committee duties in detail during the vote, noting only that the audit committee is a required body under district practice.
