Speaker 1 reopened the topic of drafting a Complete Streets policy and asked whether trustees wanted to move the document forward: "The question is how do we get it sort of drafted?" Speaker 1 said staff had previously agreed to take a first cut but suggested trustees could prepare an initial draft if it would speed consideration.
Several trustees cautioned that staff bandwidth is limited and that any trustee draft would still require staff input before formal adoption. The board asked staff to continue research on how Complete Streets policies have worked in comparable rural communities and to return with recommendations once capacity allows.
