The Board of Commissioners authorized an audit of Lorain County’s primary telecommunications accounts by Spy Glass Group LLC, adopting Resolution No. 26-126 on Feb. 24.
The scope, as recorded in the resolution, includes seeking cost recovery, service eliminations and cost reductions across voice, data, internet, cloud services, SaaS licensing and mobility services. The firm will receive a percentage of the first 12 months of savings that the county realizes after implementing Spy Glass’s recommendations. Commissioner Jeff Riddell asked where the engagement would be paid from; Saunders responded the general fund would ultimately cover the audit expense.
Commissioners voted to adopt the agreement by roll call.
