County renews CodeRED emergency alerting contract for three years at $34,731.58 per year

The Lorain County Emergency Management Agency's contract with Onsolve, LLC for the CodeRED alerting platform was renewed for three years at an annual cost of $34,731.58 under Resolution No. 26-111, adopted Feb. 13.
Karen Perkins, representing EMA, explained that the system can alert residents about a range of incidents but requires residents to sign up. "EMA can alert residents on a plethora of things that could be going on in their community. Residents must sign up for it and can do that at EMA website," Perkins said. The prosecutors' office reviewed the contract "as to form," the resolution states, and the board authorized three annual payments to be paid from Contract Services.
