The Lorain County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 26-110 on Feb. 13 to accept $648,000 in PY2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the Ohio Department of Development.
The grant funds were allocated to six activities countywide (excluding the cities of Lorain and Elyria): a countywide meals program administered by Neighborhood Alliance ($97,200); Sheffield Lake Maple Grove sewer line improvements ($251,200); North Ridgeville water line replacement in the Aurensen neighborhood ($120,000); a Haven Center shelter courtyard/playground ($50,000); a $23,000 fair housing program; and $106,600 for general administration. The resolution instructs county staff to execute the required grant agreement within the state's requested timeline.
