Administrator reports NRAC vacancy and Senior Management Team priorities

The County Administrator told the board on Oct. 14 that a vacancy has opened on the Natural Resources Advisory Committee following the recent death of a member and recommended advertising to solicit letters of interest through Nov. 5. The administrator asked the board for a motion to advertise and the board approved the solicitation.
The administrator also summarized Senior Management Team activity, saying the group reviewed continuous-improvement work, recommended expanding the capital improvement plan and reviewed tabletop exercises for cybersecurity resilience. “We also reviewed the 2026 budget process because we're getting ready to start the 2027 budget process,” the administrator said. Staff indicated follow-up steps on recruitment and budget timeline.
