Board approves land-use map amendment for 42-acre Dagenbrook parcel

Staff said the applicant asked to change the designation from Agricultural/Forestry to Rural Residential; the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment held a public hearing on Aug. 21, 2025 and made a unanimous recommendation for a Rural Residential 10 designation covering approximately 42 acres.
Mister Pence, representing land services, explained staff reviewed the application, public comments and the board of adjustment’s findings and recommended approval consistent with the Planning Commission’s recommendation. Commissioners asked whether the township had submitted comment; staff said they did not receive township input and that the trust had indicated it was "okay" with the proposal.
A commissioner moved to approve the amendment to RR-10 and a second was recorded; the motion passed by voice vote. The board did not attach conditions beyond the record of the planning commission’s finding of fact.
