During public comment, Joel Hansen asked, "Under the conditional use permit, can the hours change at a later date?" Harry replied that hours of operation are a condition of the CUP and "they're not allowed to change the hours without going back through and requesting an amendment to the conditional use." Staff also explained sound regulations measured at property lines and said code enforcement could be used if noise exceeds limits.
A neighbor raised similar concerns about noise and signage; staff said existing tenants and proposed operations should maintain enclosed operations to deaden sound and that code violations could be pursued if sound extended past property lines. After closing the public hearing the commission voted to approve the conditional use permit; the approval included the staff-recommended condition limiting open overhead doors during operations.
