The council approved a recommendation from a selection review committee to award a contract to Trailer and Associates, Inc. to provide administrative services for the city’s potential Texas Community Development Block Grant (TXCDBG) application for 2025–26.
Staff clarified that contracting the administrator does not commit the city to accept a grant; if the grant is awarded any administrator fees would be paid from the grant. The proposed grant would target water supply and related infrastructure improvements in a limited area of the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (Trinity Park), where resident income levels may meet grant eligibility requirements. Council voted to authorize execution of the contract if the grant is awarded.
