Interim city manager Thurman updated the council on the city-manager recruitment process and on grant and project administration. He said interviews with council are scheduled for the coming Thursday and Friday and that a recruiter will present to council on the 13th to describe the process and expectations.
Public Works staff reported on recent maintenance and VAC truck activity in neighborhoods including Kumquat and Glenbrook, and said county crews had supplied trucks for additional days. Public Works indicated it will be part of the stormwater-master-plan kickoff after consultants complete initial data collection.
Thurman also noted grant activity the city is managing, including federal and county grants that require external administration in some cases; staff will bring additional cost and administrator recommendations back to council at the next meeting.
