The board agreed by consensus to ask Ryan to prepare a one-page factual summary of the moratorium's financial impacts and to hold a public workshop on Jan. 2 at 08:00 to prepare coordinated talking points for the Jan. 6 city council hearing.
Members also discussed sending a written recommendation to council and encouraging business leaders to attend the hearing to explain economic impacts. "If we each have 3 minutes to speak... and if we each have a talking point that addresses that," a member said, the plan would spotlight fiscal and planning tradeoffs for councilmembers.
The board confirmed the Jan. 2 workshop date and asked staff to distribute materials produced for planning and zoning to the EDB members as public record.
