Council holds bill to reallocate forfeiture proceeds while administration and council discuss details

The county executive's liaison said the administration had concerns about legislating appropriations instead of resolving them through the budget process and asked to meet with the bill sponsor to discuss funding effects and agency needs. Councilmember Hawkins moved to hold so staff, the sponsor and the administration could meet and discuss communication strategy; the committee voted to hold CB 63 for further discussion.
