After the workforce briefing, council members pressed Employ Prince George's for more granular outcome data and clearer tracking of participants and placements. Council Member Blige asked whether the report could include the number of individuals who come through Employ Prince George's and where they are placed; Simmons said the agency can track those who enroll in the local center and that partners' disparate systems constrain county-wide tracking.
"Is there a part of report that we can actually get the numbers of individuals that are coming through your office?" Council Member Blige asked. Simmons replied that Employ Prince George's can supply enrollment and completer data for those who come through its centers but cannot mandate partner systems; he pointed to upcoming events and examples of program outcomes (the CDL program reported 95 employed of 113 completers). Council members recommended adding district-level placement metrics in future reports and exploring legislation in Annapolis to require stronger state monitoring of training providers if the Maryland Department of Labor does not change ETPL standards.
