Prince George's County Council on Oct. 8 introduced a set of bills to adopt the 2023 editions of the county code, zoning ordinance and subdivision regulations.
The introductions—CB68 for the county code, CB69 for the zoning ordinance and CB70 for subdivision regulations—followed committee review. Committee staff summarized that the updates are part of the routine codification required at intervals not greater than four years and that the office of law found the drafts to be in proper legislative form with no impediments to enactment. Each bill was reported favorably by the Committee of the Whole with an 8-0 committee vote.
A committee reporter noted the bills will incorporate appropriate indexes, citations and appendices required for compilation and publication of the updated codes and regulations.
