Committee recommends two appointees to Prince George's County Agricultural Resources advisory panel

Ms. Brewer, presenting the county executive's nominations, introduced Tracy Duvall of Suitland and Jennifer Cross of Brandywine. Brewer noted Duvall’s 23 years of federal program management experience and her participation in urban-farmer trainings with Eco City Farms. Duvall told the committee she has a “deep rooted passion for agriculture” and described backyard and community-farming work that she said would help connect local government to the county’s farming community.
A committee member moved a favorable recommendation and the motion was seconded. The clerk recorded a unanimous roll-call result of 3-0 in favor of the confirmation recommendation for both nominees. Committee members publicly praised the nominees’ experience: one member said Duvall’s work at Eco City Farms “speaks well” and described Cross as “one of the leaders” in the county’s farming community.
The committee’s recommendation will be transmitted to the next stage of the county’s confirmation process.
