Chair opened the meeting by updating the board on a recently completed salary study for central-office staff and the district’s timeline for contract renewals. “We just received the result of the salary study earlier this month,” the Chair said, and described staff plans to convert the study’s ranges into a factorized pay approach combining a base salary with percentage add-ons for experience, education and district tenure.
The Chair told the board the district invited Baker Tilly to present the engagement and findings at the August board meeting and said staff hope to have adjustments ready for approval as early as September. The Chair said any salary changes would be retroactive to the beginning of the school year and that leadership intends to align future renewals earlier in the cycle so central-office renewals happen alongside other personnel decisions. “We want to have Baker and Tilly come and just walk through the engagement they did with us and how they… arrived at the results of that salary study,” the Chair added.
Board members asked about timing and implementation. One member confirmed the district could be ready for board approval in September, giving trustees time to review the data at committee before a vote. The presentation sets a public timeline: consultant review in August, staff refinement and committee review in late summer, and a potential September approval with retroactive pay adjustments.
