Priscilla Molina presented one of the resolutions on behalf of Congressman Kevin Mullin; Assemblymember Diane Papan presented resolutions from the county legislative delegation and praised the pair for improving education and influencing policy. Former County Superintendent Anne Campbell also spoke in tribute.
Board members spoke to the personal and professional impact of the honorees. Board Member Gerard said she would miss Cannon's thoughtful contributions; Board Member Lempert reflected on the honor of being recognized alongside his colleague. The Board approved both resolutions by unanimous roll call vote (Alvaro, Bonini, Camacho, Cannon, Gerard, Lempert, Torres).
