Council approves claims, pays Grand River Fire District and finalizes emergency truck payment

Council moved an item forward and approved a $7,703.75 payment to the Grand River Fire District for driveway work (motion Abendroth/Prill), the action carrying 5-0 on roll call. Separately, council approved an additional payment of $993.80 to Black Gold Diesel Services for the Emergency Management Truck, to be paid from the Emergency Government savings account; that increased the truck payment to $13,993.90 as recorded in the minutes (motion Kazda/Triemstra; 6-0 roll call).
Council also approved City Checks #39211-39292, listed electronic payments and direct deposits, and filed the December 2025 Treasurer’s Report for audit by consensus. These items were adopted during the claims portion of the agenda.
