Board approves Proposition 28 funding report for court and community schools

The motion to approve the report passed 5-0 with two members absent (Susan Alvaro and Jim Cannon). The approval means the County Office will proceed with planned arts and music-related expenditures for court and community school programs under the Prop. 28 framework.
Chavez presented the funding mechanics and answered a question from Board President Chelsea Bonini about whether the dollar amount would change year to year; he reiterated that annual variations reflect the Prop. 98 calculation. The Board did not request further amendments to the report during the meeting and approved it as presented.
