The McLeansboro Township Board tentatively approved its proposed 2026–27 Township budget, Ordinance 2026-1, and the Road District budget, Ordinance 2026-2, during its April 14, 2026 meeting. "A motion was made by Becky Cross and seconded by Dennis Johnson to tentatively approve the Township budget, Ordinance 2026-1. Motion carried," the minutes state. A separate motion by Dennis Johnson, seconded by Kyle Ingram, tentatively approved the Road District budget and also carried.
Supervisor Clydus Gray told the board the proposed budgets will be on display at the Township building until the May 2026 meeting to allow any qualified resident access to review the documents. Final approval of both budgets is anticipated at the board's May meeting, according to the minutes. The board did not record roll-call vote tallies in the minutes beyond "motion carried."
