McLeansboro Township Board approves routine payments, accepts reports and authorizes new computer purchase

The McLeansboro Township Board met Oct. 14, 2025, at the township building at 105 Carpenter Street. Supervisor Clydus Gray, who conducted the meeting by phone because of illness, called the meeting to order and the board approved the September 2025 minutes after a motion by Committee member Becky Cross and a second by Committee member Kyle Ingram.
The board recorded receipt of the second installment of real estate taxes from the most recent levy, totaling $130,716.75, and accepted the finalized annual financial statement prepared by Katrina Roberson and Associates. Supervisor Clydus Gray recommended purchasing a replacement office computer due to the poor condition of the township’s current machine; Committee member Dennis Johnson moved to approve the purchase and Committee member Laura Renn seconded. The motion carried.
During the meeting the board approved payment of Road and Bridge, Building and Equipment, and Permanent Road Fund claims on a motion by Kyle Ingram, seconded by Becky Cross, and separately approved Town Fund and Social Security Fund claims on a motion by Dennis Johnson, seconded by Laura Renn. With no further business, the board adjourned; the minutes were signed by Richard Woods, Township Clerk.
