Board adopts resolutions recognizing October awareness months

The consent agenda included adoption of Joint Resolution No. 24-45 Recognizing October 2024 as LGBTQ+ History Month, Joint Resolution No. 24-46 Recognizing October 2024 as National Dyslexia Awareness Month, and Joint Resolution No. 24-47 Recognizing October 2024 as National Disability Employment Awareness Month. After a motion by Board Member Susan Alvaro and a second by Board Member Beverly Gerard, the consent agenda was approved by a vote of six in favor and one absence (Camacho).
Board President Chelsea Bonini noted appreciation for the adoption of the dyslexia and disability employment awareness resolutions during board member comments. The minutes record these resolutions as adopted with no additional discussion in open session.
