Sarah Notch, Executive Director, Center for Access and Engagement, presented the report cards. Board Member Susan Alvaro asked about a mostly blank Camp Kemp report; Notch explained the SARC reflects prior-year program data because the SARCs report on the 2023–24 school year for programs that operated during that year. Executive Director Notch also confirmed that any program operated during the school year "requires a SARC," noting Camp Kemp has no students this year.
Board Member Chelsea Bonini raised questions about charter schools' SARC submissions and the absence of some mission statements; Notch and Superintendent Nancy Magee said staff would follow up to ensure charter compliance and could add mission statements in future SARCs. Board Member Patricia Love asked about aggregation of Special Education program data; Notch confirmed district columns include all SMCOE school programs and use dashes where student groups are not identifiable.
After discussion and clarification on reporting and compliance, the Board unanimously approved the SARCs (motion by Board Member Gerard; second by Board Member Alvaro).
