Board approves interdistrict attendance appeal for K–8 student

The San Mateo County Board of Education on Oct. 23 reported it had heard Interdistrict Attendance Appeal IAA‑24‑7 in closed session and, upon returning to open session, announced two unanimous actions. Board President Chelsea Bonini reported the Board first found the nature of the appeal to be an interdistrict transfer; then, after a second motion, the Board approved IAA‑24‑7 for kindergarten through eighth grade.
Both actions were adopted by unanimous roll call (Alvaro, Bonini, Camacho, Cannon, Gerard, Lempert and Torres). The procedural finding and final approval were moved and seconded on the record: the finding motion was made by Board President Bonini and seconded by Board Member Gerard; the approval was moved by Board President Bonini and seconded by Board Member Torres.
