County awards asphalt contract, approves annual resurfacing list and seeks $4.3M in resilience grants

Road department staff then presented the annual resurfacing list for fiscal 2024 and addressed a small adjustment: three Pine Ridge Park roads will be moved to FY25 because of ongoing OUA contractor work; staff will do a site walk and finalize the list. Separately, staff recommended submitting two Resilient Florida grant applications totaling $4.3M (no county match): a $2.5M application for the Nub and Slough regional drainage project (Berman Road/Spot in the Sun/4 Seasons area) and a $1.8M request for Lake Montanze Estates drainage improvements. The board approved the grant submissions and the resurfacing list.
