Arts Commission report: bench painting, youth workshop and community arts showcase planned

Jones outlined a youth workshop on Sept. 12 led by local artist Dan Connolly for kindergarten through fifth-grade students that will culminate in a short community presentation of Treasure Island and noted a community arts showcase with multiple displays. She also announced Paula Dolan as the current city-hall featured artist and invited council and staff to encourage local business contributions to support projects.
Council thanked the commission for outreach at Hayden Days and asked about event logistics; Jones confirmed dates and local partnerships. The commission said it will continue outreach and follow up with interested businesses.
