Mildred Mertz, representing the Lineman Historical Society, told the board she will present a program about the Grange and set up a museum display at the upcoming Acton Fair. "What I'd like to do at the fair is talk about the Grange's history," Mertz said, noting the national Grange began in 1867 and that several local granges remain active.
Mertz described the fair programming as family-oriented: "There will be goodies, there'll be music, There'll be games," she said and offered printed schedules she asked the board to share. The presenter suggested the town post the schedule online for easier public access. The event was announced on the agenda as item number 1; the board thanked the presenter and asked staff to circulate the schedule to members.
