Board authorizes Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve closings for recycling center

Douglass Township’s Board of Supervisors authorized holiday closures for the township recycling center, approving staff recommendations to close on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, 2025.
Manager Andrew Duncan requested approval to close the recycling center on those dates. A motion was made by Chairman Josh Stouch and seconded by Supervisor Don Bergstresser to “authorize the Recycling Coordinator to close the Recycling Center on December 24th, 2025 for Christmas Eve and December 31st, 2025 for New Year's Eve.” The motion passed (Bergstresser—Aye, Stouch—Aye). Stouch asked Mr. Duncan to post the closings on the township website and Facebook and include them in the next manager’s report.
