The San Pasqual Valley Unified Board of Trustees approved a suite of CSBA-recommended policies and related administrative regulations at its Aug. 12 meeting. Items approved in grouped motions included Series 0000 (district governance), Series 1000 (community relations/uniform complaint procedures), Series 3000 (business/operations regulations), Series 4000 (personnel policies), Series 5000 (students policies), Series 6000 (instruction), and Board Bylaw 9011 (disclosure of confidential/privileged information).
Trustee Ms. Owl moved to approve Items 2–8 (the listed policies and bylaw), and Ms. Dominguez seconded; the bundled motion passed unanimously. The approvals include first- and second-reading items that the board accepted per CSBA recommendations, such as updates to nondiscrimination, charter authorization and oversight, technology planning and a new policy on artificial intelligence (Board Policy 0441).
Board members indicated these updates align district documents with CSBA model language; the board placed remaining handbook and procedural items on future agendas for final review where noted.
