Rye to organize townwide buildings assessment; school study to feed broader plan

Kim Reed and Jason Rucker described an initiative to coordinate town groups and consultants for an all-town buildings facility needs and architectural assessment. The School Board is already moving forward with a selected consultant for a schools-only study; MPIC plans for the schools work to feed into a more comprehensive assessment.
MPIC said the goal is to develop a Statement of Work and draft RFP for a 2027–2028 project and to identify funding needs for a potential 2027 warrant article. Rob Wright (Select Board) and town staff will continue to organize the work plan and report progress to MPIC as it develops.
