Community Resiliency Workshop with TNC set for late July; hazard mitigation update underway

Kim Reed reported that a Community Resiliency Workshop, facilitated by The Nature Conservancy (TNC), is planned for late July and that invited attendees have largely RSVP’d positively. MPIC members noted the workshop will inform resilience planning and discussion ahead of October outreach.
Reed also said the Rye Hazard Mitigation Plan update is in progress with multiple staff meetings completed. The committee discussed related regional efforts, including a mention of a 'Seven Rivers to the Coast' organization and the NH DES Coastal Flood Risk Summary, which is being updated this year and will serve as an important reference for Rye’s coastal-risk planning.
