The Planning & Zoning Commission approved a special‑use permit permitting a mobile heart‑imaging trailer to operate at a commercial medical site near O'Villa and Methodist. Staff described the unit as a trailer (semi unit) intended to be on site roughly three days twice a month to provide imaging services the clinic cannot accommodate indoors; staff required landscaping to screen the trailer and a routing plan to avoid Methodist Street so as not to interfere with the fire and police station access.
Rodney Jennings, director of facilities for Hart Place, spoke in support and described how the tractor unit will depart after dropping off the trailer and that the trailer will be parked for a short period when providing services: "Leave it there for 3 days parked here," Jennings said. Staff noted the SUP will be limited to two years, after which the applicant must reapply if it wishes to continue the temporary placement.
