Roadmaster Mike Heydt briefed the Board on the road crew’s winter operations — plowing, salting, snow clearing, plow repairs and pothole repairs — and requested authorization to sell several small pieces of equipment no longer needed by the township. The equipment list included an 8'6" Fisher snowplow, a 300-gallon fuel tank with pump, two chainsaws and a weedwhacker for parts, a Jumping Jack compactor, and a plate tamper. The Board authorized Mr. Heydt to sell the listed items by unanimous vote.
Mr. Heydt noted crews also cleared snow from a bridge for safety reasons and completed routine equipment maintenance. Staff will post the equipment for sale according to township disposal procedures and report proceeds to the Treasurer.
