Board hears staff: updating preservation guidelines is complex and constrained by state statute

The Staff member also said a state statute recently passed that "may or is already effective that kinda stops us from doing any more code updates at the moment that will restrict the code even further," adding the city’s ability to move forward is currently constrained. The board did not take action; staff recommended following the longer engagement and approval process when feasible.
