Council questioned a newly listed $15,000 fee to review community development districts (CDD). A planner (speaker S11) told council that the amount is established by state statute and that the city added the fee to its schedule because CDDs are appearing more frequently. "But that's actually per the the state statutes," the planner said when asked whether the fee could be reduced.
Council also asked for clarity on a fee for "substantial changes" to planned development (PD) designations; staff said the code defines what constitutes a substantial change and that such changes typically require an amended resolution and return to the board or council.
